Faith, Family, and Woodworking
I have loved woodworking since I was a child. After retiring and moving to Arizona, I finally built my dream woodshop. However, the true purpose of my shop became clear through a life-changing event. Today, Northstar Woodcraft is known for creating handcrafted wooden boxes and heirlooms, but it started with a miracle.
The First Project: A Custom Bible Box
My first major project began when a friend asked me to build a custom wooden box to display his Bible. While designing it, I wanted something truly special. I learned to custom-build a unique wooden hinge that has since become a hallmark of all my handcrafted wooden boxes.
That single project sparked a passion for creating high-quality items. Since then, many boxes have been purchased for various uses, including:

A Miracle of Healing
In 2023, my wife was diagnosed with leukemia. The doctors gave her only a very slim chance of survival. We brought her home under hospice care, trusting God would heal her, and by His grace, our prayers were answered. She has completely recovered and is back to near-perfect health. We witnessed a true miracle.
During her recovery, I spent more and more time in my workshop. It became a place of focus and creativity during a difficult time.
